The wealthiest place in the world is the cemetery. There lie buried companies, inventions & best-selling books that were NEVER created. In the cemetery is buried the greatest treasure of untapped potential. There is a treasure in you that must come out. It is your potential. Don’t go to the grave WITH YOUR TRESURE STILL WITHIN YOU. - Dr Myles Munroe

The enemy is busy trying to keep you from your treasure. Don’t give in & don’t give up. If you are not living up to your potential & there is more that you can offer to the world…then you know it, and feel it deep down inside. What are you going to do about it? Don’t you hear that voice speaking to you and yearning for you to do more? Why are you ignoring it? That “voice” inside me is why I decided to do 5LINX. I’m not doing 5LINX just to help people save and make money. I am doing 5LINX because it is a vehicle…a way for me to bring in additional income (on my own time) without working a part time j.o.b. (just over broke). A j.o.b. may be the very thing that is keeping you from your dreams and your potential; because you don’t have the time, energy or even finances to do what you TRULY want to do…or to discover your TRUE PURPOSE.

Because I chose to diversify my income, it is allowing me to have the money to finance my dreams and my potential! The finances to make sure that my treasure won’t die with me. When money as an issue is out of the way, THEN what would be your next excuse? Hopefully you won’t have one. So whatever you do, listen to that voice inside you that desires more, and do something about it. If not this WHAT? If not you, WHO? If not now, then WHEN would be the right time to make a change? It’s YOUR life, and the choice is yours. Do WHATEVER it takes to make sure your treasure doesn’t die with you. The rest of us are waiting to be blessed by what it is that YOU have to offer!

Live Victorious!

Are you trying to become successful by CHOICE or by CHANCE? So many people have great goals and aspirations for their lives, however, when it comes down to the ACTION that needs to go behind the desire; many people fall short. Why is that? Why do we want success, but we want the easy way to it? Of course, SUCCESS can mean different things to different people. Success could mean Financial Stability to some or it could be about having strong Relationships to others. It could also be about someone’s Spiritual journey, Educational accomplishments or Fame, Status or Title…just to name a few. Regardless of what success means to you, why do so many people choose to settle for average and take the easy way out? Why do we want the PAYOFF without the PREPARATION? The RAISE without the possible REJECTION? The SUCCESS without the SWEAT? Or the FUNDS without stepping out on the FAITH we need to get it done? Everyone’s answers and reasons are different, but the point still remains…Is it by CHOICE or is it by CHANCE that you will reach YOUR true level of SUCCESS?

Whatever you do- DON’T take your success lightly. Don’t take a “gamble” and treat it like playing the lottery, roulette or throwing dice on a craps table. Make a CHOICE TODAY that you are going to put dedicated and consistent action behind your desire for SUCCESS. Why? Because when something is GIVEN to you (like a car, a degree, a lot of money, etc) it doesn’t mean nearly as much to you as it does when you have WORKED for it! Put in the WORK and your SUCCESS will be right around the corner!

Live Victorious!

2009 is coming to an end, and as I sit back and think about all that has happened…both good and bad…I realize that all in all, 2009 was a year of growth for me, as it probably has been for many of you. With each new experience and every new challenge, we not only gain insight and skills, but we also grow stronger. No matter what happens to us, only we can determine how we react to it. Will we let it frustrate us, upset us or make us bitter…or will we learn from the experience, grow and make sure we don’t repeat it again…especially if it’s something that is within our control. We all should be thankful for each and every trial, tribulation, success and joyful moment. Life is too short to let what happen to you to control you. It may be hard to let it go, but for every disappointment, think of something that you are grateful for. Or, think of something you do well. Or think of a success you have had. Or…you get the picture.

Having an “attitude of gratitude” means so much to your overall outlook on life. Can’t think of anything to be thankful for? I’ll give you 10 that probably apply to you…
1. You woke up today
2. You can see this
3. You can hear
4. You can taste your food
5. You actually have food to eat
6. You are functioning and in your right mind
7. You can talk
8. You can walk
9. At least one person in this world loves you
10. If nothing else, God loves you!

So as you can see, I came up with 10 things in less than 2 minutes. Just imagine if you spent 3 minutes or 5 minutes listing all the things that you are thankful for! I hope you take a moment to sit back, and realize all of the things (no matter what you are going through) that you can be thankful for!

Is there really such a thing called “luck”? Do you feel that you are a lucky person in most situations, or are you someone who feels that luck just never seems to find you? Regardless of how you feel about the word “luck”, I would challenge you to think about it in a different way. Is it really luck, or is it the way you plan in advance for the opportunity that presents itself to you?

Luck, in many cases, is when planning meets opportunity. Even in those instances when people say “You are so lucky”, is it truly luck, or was it just that you had the opportunity to be in the right place at the right time (or not in that place at all in the wrong time). Was it luck or God’s blessing upon your life? Was it luck or you being properly prepared for the situation when it presented itself? Maybe you remembered something from a self defense class at just the right moment. Maybe because you took the defensive driving course, you knew exactly what to do when you car went out of control. Maybe because you did your yearly check up on time, your doctor was able to catch the illness early enough, and now you are free of the illness all together. Or maybe it was God blessing you with his Grace and/or Mercy that saw you through.

Luck, in my opinion is all relative. People who feel that nothing goes their way, typically have the feeling that they are simply unlucky by nature…and people who feel that everything goes their way, typically feel more lucky. As they say, what you think about, you bring about! “Lucky” people seem to somehow, be able to look at things differently and typically believe with all their heart that a way will be made out of no way.

So, is it really “luck”, or something else? You decide. But as you are making your decision, keep in mind “The 6 P’s”- -Proper Prior Planning Prevents Poor Performance!

Live Victorious!

Over the course of our lives, many of us have our share of ups and downs. Things go well and life is wonderful and then “BAM!!!” something hits you out of the blue. Maybe it’s something that physically goes wrong…or something that emotionally happens regarding a special relationship…or a financial misstep happens and you don’t know if you’ll ever see the light at the end of the tunnel. In these times, we should not stress out, worry or be fearful; but instead we should pray and we should “F.R.O.G.” = Fully Rely On God!

The Bible gives us various scriptures that we can turn to in times of need for support, guidance and direction. Below are a few that I personally love and that remind me to Fully Rely On God:

“Commit everything you do to the Lord, trust him and he will help you.” Psalm 37:5 (NLT)

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6 (NLT)

“For God did not give us the spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.” II Timothy 1:7 (NIV)

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:5-7 (NLT)

I pray that this post and these verses give you strength, courage and peace of mind in your times of need as they have done for me!

Be Blessed and Live Victorious!

On today…Labor Day 2009, I’ve taken some time to reflect and ask the question…is it “Labor or Love???”

Confucius said “Find a job you love and you’ll never work a day in your life.” It’s also been said to “Do what you love and you’ll never take a vacation again.” What very powerful, yet thought provoking statements. How many people have “truly” found a job that they love…or consider what they do day in and day out to fall right in line with their passions?

Many people work in a job solely for the paycheck because their bills need to be paid; while some others work for the title and prestige that comes along with the job. Regardless of the reason, if you are not doing what you love (or at least putting processes in place to get there one day), what was your time/purpose on earth really used for? Some might say to get married and have children; or to build relationships and friendships with others…and I also think those purposes are true. However, there are people reading this today who have a relationship or a marriage, with children, and great friends and family…yet those relationships have been strained because they hate what they do 40+ hours a week. The frustration of that unhappiness can easily and subconsciously spill over into other areas of their lives.

Just imagine for a moment if both of those sayings at the beginning were true. What would your life look like? How happy would you be? I think that we were put on this earth to have overall happiness…not compartmentalized happiness. We should love our lives whether we are at home, at work or at play. Don’t we deserve it? Who made us believe that if work was great, then our home would probably suffer; or if our home life was wonderful, then work had to be sacrificed? We should have abundance in ALL areas of our lives. Anything less plants a seed of discontent in our hopes, dreams and aspirations.

I believe that we are here to live life’s experiences to the fullest. To love our family, to build great relationships, to step past our fears and our comfort zone (which is the enemy trying to hold us back from our dreams) and to move closer and closer to the wonderful life that is awaiting each and everyone one of us. It’s not too late! The choice is yours. What do you choose…Labor or Love???

In reflecting on the recent passing of so many well know people in 2009, Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett, Senator Ted Kennedy and of course Michael Jackson…I have realized a few things. One is that, no matter how long your time on earth may be…life is still WAY too short. The other is that the time to get the things done that we want to accomplish in our lives is NOW.

Nothing is promised or guaranteed to us, so we must use the time we have to the fullest. So many people have passed away and left behind “unfinished business” that needed to be taken care of prior to their departure. Their dreams, aspirations, future goals and plans are now but a memory…an unfulfilled part of a potentially bigger purpose.

When is the time to get started? Better yet…When will it be YOUR time? Is it NOW when you can still accomplish the things that you desire to have/do/be in your life; or will you take the risk of putting your aspirations on the back burner and getting it done “later”…in a future that isn’t even promised to you?

As with anything else in life…the choice is totally yours. The time is NOW, and there’s only one person who can hold you back from getting it done…YOU!

Remember…Yesterday is gone…Tomorrow isn’t promised…but Today is a gift…that’s why we call it the “PRESENT”!

Live Victorious!

As a Coach and business owner, I have realized that many people don’t take the time to truly discover what their purpose is in life. Many people never pursue their dream because they get caught in various feelings of “comfort” that hold them back. Stepping out of your “comfort zone” is a real key in discovering your purpose. The more comfortable you are, the less likely it is that you are challenging yourself and growing into who you can become. To get something you’ve never had, you have to do something’s you’ve never done.

Are you challenging yourself to do different things to get different results; or are you letting to comfort of where you are keep you stuck in the same environment. How bad do you want it…really? Do you want it bad enough to step up and step out? Do you want it bad enough to take the risk? Or is it that you are just “saying” you want it but you really have no desire, drive or motivation to get it done? Only YOU know the truth and only YOU can make the decision to move into action! The time is now, and the choice is yours…

Life is too short to not live it to the fullest! Are you taking the time to really focus on what it is that you were put on this earth to do? Do you already know your purpose, or are you still on your path to discovering it? In order for most people to find their purpose and truly feel fulfilled, they must try and experience new and different things. In the process of doing that, you also get to make various choices that could lead you closer to your purpose. If you never try anything new, it’s highly unlikely that you will never find your true purpose. As they say…”If you keep doing what you’ve always done, you’ll keep getting what you’ve always gotten.”

Just imagine…being 90 years old and looking back over your life and realizing that you never really lived your life to the fullest. What a terrible feeling…to look back with regrets. Life is already too short without letting time also pass you by.

No matter what you do, make it a mission to discover your purpose, however you can. If you feel stuck and you don’t know where to get started, get my free report above that outlines 5 ways to kick start things in your life. It will help you to think creatively, get out of your rut and think outside the box.

All in all, only you can decide that now is the time to live your life to the fullest…and my hope for you is that you discover your purpose and live your life with passion!

Live Victorious!
